Global Eco Rescue (GER) is an environmental services company. It purposes is to reserve gross global environmental degradation by utilizing the global carbon markets. By selling carbon credits derived from environment activities, GER will raise the necessary funds to address pressing environmental problem such as deforestation, illegal logging and degradation. The managing director of PT. GER will be responsible for managing GER’s Jakarta office. He will be the main interface between GER and the Indonesian government as well as GER’s Indonesia partners.

The MD should have at least 10-15 years of professional experience. The MD needs to be familiar with the forestry sector and posses a high environmental consciousness. Fluency in English is required. Past experience with project development companies active in the carbon sector or commercial logging companies, or Non Governmental Organization active in preservation and/or forest restoration is very important. Alternatively a consulting or financial background will also be considered. Good relationships with all levels of central and regional governments would need to be demonstrated. Past experience with running high growth organization, ability to establish control systems and execution process is also a plus.

The forest managers and field supervisors will work with the Managing Director and our Indonesian partners to implement a forest protection, monitoring and implementation plan. A graduate degree in a relevant field is required. Position required a minimum of seven years (FM) and five years (FS) of work experience in conservation natural resource management. Combination of non-profit and private sector experience is desirable. Local knowledge in East Kalimantan is necessary as well as experience with logging companies and practices. Some English language skills are important but not required. Willing to work in remote area and under limited supervision.

· Work with organizations and informal groups across the target areas to provide information to the community on the options of water treatment.

· Organize meetings or events together with the village leaders for the purpose of safe water campaign to the community.

· Maintain direct communication with NTR on the sales/marketing of the product.

· Work in co-operation with Local Government, opinion leaders, religious groups, CBOs, etc to ensure that information reached all people in an appropriate and correct way

· Conduct training program and product campaign at the community

· Establish good working relations with a wide range of organizations within the targeted areas.

· Establish good relationship with main and sub distributor

· Take part in other BHS partners events to share good practice and maintain and update skills

· Monitoring all activities result in the community every month.

· Provide timely and accurate progress reports for the supervisor and other partners as appropriate
